CHERRYFIELD, Maine (WABI) - Operation Game Thief and the Maine Warden Service are asking for the public’s help in an investigation in Washington County.

The Warden Service says five deer have been shot and left to waste in the Cherryfield area over the past three months.

Those include a four-point buck in Harrington in September, a six-point buck in Deblois and doe in an unincorporated township in October. And then two more this month: one in Deblois with its antlers sawed off and another found in Cherryfield.

A $1,000 reward is being offered to anyone with information.
