Cruises are meant to be fun and relaxing vacations, but in recent years, onboard disturbances such as fights and assaults have been on the rise. Although many travelers associate these incidents with Carnival Cruise Line, another major cruise line experienced its own disturbance.

Recently, Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has expanded its Caribbean offerings to meet rising demand in the region . But a serious altercation aboard one of its ships over the weekend has drawn unwanted attention. The incident reportedly took place during embarkation for a seven-night Western Caribbean sailing out of Miami, Florida, and left an elderly passenger in critical condition .
