WASHINGTON —
President Donald Trump will spend Thanksgiving in West Palm Beach, Florida, as the Thursday deadline he set for a peace deal between Ukraine and Russia approaches, with ongoing negotiations and remaining disagreements.
Trump said "tremendous progress" has been made toward ending the war in Ukraine, but there are still details that need to be worked out. "I think we're getting very close to a deal. We'll find out. I thought that one would have been a lot quicker. We did eight. I thought that would have been an easier one, but I think we're making progress," Trump said at a White House event Tuesday.
The U.S. is engaged in talks with Russian leaders in Abu Dhabi following another Russian attack against Ukraine overnight . Negotiations have focused on a 28-point U.S. plan
