BUFFALO, N.Y. — Cheektowaga Police released information Monday on a incident that occurred on Walden Avenue Sunday afternoon.

Gary Green Jr., 37, has been charged with one count of Murder in the 2nd Degree and Robbery in the 1st Degree. Cheektowaga Police say officers were dispatched to Walden Avenue, between Alexander Avenue and Hedwig Avenue, around 3:45 p.m. for reports of a pedestrian that had been struck, as well as reports of several shots fired.

When officers arrived, they found a female victim, 32-year-old Alexis Navaroli, who was dead at the scene. It is alleged that the victim and suspect knew each other. The vehicle that allegedly hit her was found inoperable at the scene.

Police say Green allegedly carjacked another nearby victim at gunpoint and fled the scene. Cheektowaga
