SPRINGFIELD — A Springfield musician saw an increasing need for food assistance in the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving, and decided to step in and do something about it.
“We know that at this time, with everything being cut and the cost of living going up, it makes it that much harder for people to have food,” said Elijah Gould, founder of Dynasty Beat Club, a YouTube show that helps highlight musicians, producers and creatives from the Springfield area.
To help Springfield-area families facing food insecurity and hardships, Gould teamed up with sponsors — including M.U.S.I.C ENT (My Universal Sound is Correct), SolePlay #Who’sNext, OffSite 2Twenty2 and 1636 North restaurants — and additional community groups for a multi-stop turkey and ham giveaway on Tuesday.
