As Pitt football prepares for a regular season finale with massive stakes, the team earned some recognition. After a one-week absence following its 22-point loss to Notre Dame, Pitt is back in the College Football Playoff rankings at No. 22, it was announced Tuesday night.
It sets up the second CFP ranked-on-ranked matchup of the season at Acrisure Stadium and only the fourth of the Pat Narduzzi era between Pitt and No. 12 Miami, which moved up one spot after a win at Virginia Tech on Saturday.
