The chase for spots in the 12-team College Football Playoff is down to Thanksgiving weekend games and then championship weekend before the final rankings are released on Dec. 7.
Georgia football stayed at No. 4 in this season's fourth batch of rankings, which were released on Tuesday night, Nov. 25.
The Bulldogs already appear to be in prime position to make the playoff with a 10-1 record and a game with No. 23 Georgia Tech Friday at 3:30 p.m. in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta .
Then maybe an SEC championship game for the Bulldogs the next week.
That would take either Texas beating Texas A&M or Auburn defeating Alabama.
Georgia could be playing for a top four seed Friday whether it makes the SEC title game or not.
None of the top 14 teams in the CFP rankings last week lost. Geo
