COLUMBIA, S.C. — One person is dead after an early morning crash on Garners Ferry Road near Trotter Road.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol the accident happened around 6:30AM when a tractor-trailer was rear-ended by a Ford pickup truck.

The driver of the truck was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer was transported to a local hospital. His condition is unknown.

The crash is still being investigated.
