With Thanksgiving coming up this week, families are setting their eyes on how much the holiday’s dinner will cost.

A survey by the American Farm Bureau Federation found that on average, Thanksgiving dinner for 10 people will cost families about $55, a price down 5% from last year.

However, the survey also found that residents living in the West pay more for a Thanksgiving dinner compared to those living across the country.

While turkey prices are down about 16% compared to last year, many side dishes will cost you more.

As some items increase and decrease in prices, NBC Bay Area’s Marianne Favro went shopping to see what the cost for the same 11 Thanksgiving items will run for residents in the Bay Area. Watch more in the video above.
