What was going on with the PA announcer during the Monday night game pitting the 49ers against the Panthers?

Inside Levi’s Stadium on Monday night was an unfamiliar voice to the thousands of fans who have frequented the place over the years. In fact, fans were convinced that artificial intelligence was being used in place of a real human.

In the midst of the contest, a game where fans wanted quarterback Brock Purdy investigated for his play, a voice came over the PA system that sounded like a robot.

“BRO WHO TF IS THE #49ERS PA ANNOUNCER?! I think it’s an AI robot. Ain’t no way the 49ers are penny pinching their PA position with a robot…,” one 49ers fan wrote that was inside the stadium.

The fan then posted the footage, saying, “WTF IS THIS GIVE US OUR NORMAL PA ANNOUNCER.”
