Oregon beat then-No. 17 USC on Nov. 22 for its fifth straight win.
It was a victory that earned the Ducks a bump in the latest College Football Playoff rankings that were announced Nov. 25.
Oregon moved up one spot to No. 6 and remains on track to host a first-round game Dec. 19 or 20 at Autzen Stadium. As the rankings currently stand, that game would be against former coach Mario Cristobal and No. 12 Miami (8-2), which projects as the No. 11 seed by virtue of being the highest-ranked team from the ACC.
