Fubo and NBCUniversal launched the latest spat over streaming fees after the latter’s channels were pulled from the streaming service on Nov. 21 following a failed agreement.
In a Nov. 25 statement, Fubo called NBCUniversal’s demands “discriminatory” and claimed that the network wanted to add non-sports channels that the streaming platform said would drive up costs. Fubo added that it wants to integrate Peacock, NBCUniversal’s streaming service, directly into its platform.
“They allowed YouTube TV and Amazon Prime Video to integrate Peacock directly into their channel store, but refused to give Fubo the same rights,” Fubo said.
