RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Reno Police are charging three people in connection with a suspected murder at John Champion Park.
As we previously reported , officers responded to the park on August 9, around 11 p.m., finding 48-year-old Juan Francisco-Martinez with multiple stab wounds. He died shortly after being taken to the hospital.
After what RPD describes as an extensive follow-up, detectives have arrested 25-year-old Lucky Vaavale and 40-year-old Joshua Peaslee. Both face charges of open murder with a deadly weapon. In addition, officials are now charging 53-year-old Jerry Ruch with open murder with a deadly weapon. He was already in custody at the Washoe County Jail.
