CHEYENNE — A local man accused of holding a box cutter to another man’s throat pleaded not guilty Monday in Laramie County District Court to a charge of felony aggravated assault.
On Oct. 27, 47-year-old Robert Crenshaw was arrested on a felony charge of aggravated assault and battery with threat of a deadly weapon after allegedly holding a knife to resident Dennis Carroll’s neck over a disagreement that occurred a week earlier.
Deputies made repeated attempts to contact Crenshaw, but he refused to come out of his home or to communicate with deputies, according to court documents. Subsequently, the Cheyenne Police Department/Laramie County Sheriff’s Office Joint SWAT Team and crisis negotiators were called to the scene.
