Writers’ Trust of Canada has announced that Vancouver’s Vince Beiser’s Power Metal: The Race for Resources That Will Shape the Future is the 2025 winner of the Balsillie Prize for Public Policy.
The annual award, now in its fifth year, comes with a $70,000 prize and recognizes comprehensive nonfiction books that focus on policy discussions on social, political, economic, and cultural topics that are important to Canadians.
A journalist and author, Beiser’s award-winning book looks at Canada’s critical minerals and green energy.
