Taking no prisoners, L.A. thrash pioneers Megadeth have added Edmonton to the band’s “farewell tour,” which will likely run three to five years, according to rusty-voiced lead singer Dave Mustaine.

The Feb. 21 metal showcase at Rogers Place will be backed by heavy-hitting stalwarts Anthrax and Exodus – expect a lot of black at the merch tables – adding these bands to the absolute year of rock ahead with AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses, Rush, Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, The Guess Who and even the heavy metal polka of Weird Al thundering through our fair city in 2026.

Formed in the aftermath of Mustaine’s eviction from Metallica, Megadeth is unquestionably one of the key players in American thrash metal, the two bands damaging eardrums for decades alongside Slayer and Anthrax.
