GRAND CHUTE, Wis. (WBAY) - Democrats in Washington who appeared in a social media video urging U.S. troops to defy illegal orders say the FBI has begun contacting them to schedule interviews.

While troops do have obligations to reject orders that they determine are unlawful, the U.S. military legal code requires that they be punished if that order turns out to be lawful.

The news comes after the Pentagon announced it is investigating Sen. Mark Kelly over potential violations of military law in relation to that video.

President Donald Trump has accused the lawmakers of “sedition, punishable by death,” and has called for the arrests of the six military and national security veterans featured.
