SCRANTON, Pa. — Helping folks fill their Thanksgiving tables this holiday in Scranton.
The Friends of the Poor and the Catherine McAuley Center distributed thousands of meals to the local community on Tuesday afternoon at the Scranton Cultural Center.
Christopher Camilo says, "I happened to stumble upon this, and I kinda just got right into the lane, because why not? You know, I kinda need a little extra food, we all do nowadays."
Meghan Loftus, President & CEO Friends of The Poor says, "To be able to be here and provide that for people who otherwise wouldn't have that meal, really means a lot because we just want everyone in the community to be able to sit down and have a family meal, make the same memories we do, just to feel stress free for a few hours."
