ASHEVILLE - More than a year after its property was completely flooded during Tropical Storm Helene, the beloved music venue Salvage Station will return to the River Arts District, the company announced Nov. 25.

The music venue will reopen on property long-known as the Asheville Waste Paper plant along the French Broad River, reestablishing itself at the heart of the river district, which has been steadily working to return since the storm, the company said in a Nov. 25 news release posted on social media.

Salvage Station's former property on Riverside Drive had been devastated by Helene but was also in the crosshairs of the Interstate 26 Connector project, which was set to take the property by imminent domain .
