GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Governor Ron DeSantis announced a proposal on Tuesday to develop standard practices for ethical dog breeding, partnering with several different agencies.
This will include monitoring dog breeders, holding people accountable for abusing dogs, and establishing a hotline to report abuse.
The governor says leaders having been talking about similar plans for several years.
