MANCHESTER, N.H. —

The Trump administration is circulating its own plan to address expiring health care subsidies.

ABC News reports that a draft of the plan shows President Donald Trump is open to extending subsidies while the administration and Republican leaders work to find a different solution.

Extending the subsidies would help people who pay for health care coverage under the Affordable Care Act for two more years.

The effort to extend ACA subsidies was the main sticking point in the recent federal government shutdown.

Sen. Jeanne Shaheen said the development is a positive step.
