It's that holiday time when we look back on some of the year's political turkeys — the gaffes, the outbursts, the misfires and misguided political episodes of the past year. This is only a sampling, but here we go for 2025:

Worst prediction to come true in 2025

Bill Bradley — a former Democratic U.S. senator from New Jersey and a Hall of Fame star of the New York Knicks basketball team — lamented the U.S. Supreme Court decision in 2018 that struck down a federal ban on sports betting. He warned that the ruling would lead to a crumbling of public confidence in professional and collegiate sports by effectively turning every athlete “into a roulette chip.”
