UK passports face a big redesign - just five years after they turned blue. The Home Office is set to begin issuing the new designs from December.
For the first time, the documents will feature the official coat of arms of King Charles on the cover. This will replace the previous design associated with his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, who died aged 96 in Scotland at Balmoral back in 2022.
Inside, pages will be decorated with watermark images of iconic British landmarks, including Ben Nevis, Lake Windermere and Three Cliffs Bay. The passport remains dark blue, in a change introduced following the Brexit vote.
