UK passports are set for a fresh design just five years after the post-Brexit makeover transformed them from burgundy to dark blue. The Home Office has given the green light to the updated look, with passport holders expected to spot the changes from as soon as next month.
Every five years, British passports undergo a redesign as part of standard security procedures. The alterations encompass both aesthetic updates and enhanced security features.
The most notable modification in the new passport will be the substitution of Queen Elizabeth II's coat of arms with King Charles III's. This means the lion and unicorn will appear smaller alongside the crest, whilst the crown now sports a more rounded top.
Interior pages of the passport will showcase watermark images of celebrated British land
