Miami — Syracuse football verbal commit Kamron Wilson wore a Syracuse backpack to school earlier this month, one of the countless items of Syracuse gear he has accumulated since committing to the Orange in March.

He wore it one day before he attended a game between the Orange and the Miami Hurricanes at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium.

He wore it just over a week before he took an official visit to Florida State that has injected late uncertainty into his recruitment.

The blue backpack was subdued, he said, compared to the bright orange Syracuse clothing he routinely wears to school at Miami Southridge.

“Today’s the only day I didn’t wear my Syracuse gear,” Wilson said, as the backpack sat on an auditorium stage. “I wear my Syracuse gear every day. At home, I got a whole drawer full of Syrac
