The oldest polar bear in the UK has celebrated her birthday with a selection of presents.

Jimmy's Farm and Wildlife Park is marking the milestone birthday of Ewa the polar bear, who has turned 20 today.

This has made her the oldest polar bear in the UK, with the species typically living between 15 and 18 years.

Ewa arrived at the wildlife park in October 2023 , after being rescued from Sweden's Orsa Predator Park, which was closed after a sale to developers.

CEO Jimmy Doherty said: "Celebrating Ewa’s 20th birthday is incredibly special. It reflects not only her resilience but the care and passion that go into everything we do here.

"Watching her flourish reminds us why rescue work matters - she still had life left to live and giving her that second chance has been a privilege."
