It’s that time of year again. The turkey has been basted, the pumpkin pie prepared. You’re ready to eat and give thanks—but first, it’s time to gather in front of the TV to watch a 16-foot-tall monster with jagged teeth float through the streets of midtown Manhattan.
That’s right. Labubu’s parent company, Pop Mart, is making its debut at the 99th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade this year—and it’s not alone. Other big brands including Netflix, Lindt, and Goldfish are joining the procession, alongside longtime favorites like Sesame Street and The Pillsbury Dough Boy.
Each year, more than 3.5 million people in NYC and 50 million-plus viewers at home tune in to watch the celebrations, which this time around will include 28 performers, 11 marching bands, and 33 clown crews.
