Find out if you’re on the naughty or nice list when Pere Noel visits the Bayou Lacombe Center at the Southeast Louisiana Wildlife Refuges Visitors Center for Cajun Christmas on Dec. 13.

The 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. event is free; complimentary photos will be taken with Santa, or visitors can bring a camera and shoot their own.

The idea behind Cajun Christmas is to harken back to when families would spend the holidays visiting on the water.

“This is a unique family experience where you can transport yourself back to when you would go see grandpa or grandma in their rustic fishing camp or cabin,” explained Becky Larkins, outreach director at the Visitors Center. “This time, instead of grandpa, it’s our own Cajun Santa Claus.
