Paul Doyle has changed his pleas to guilty during his trial over the Liverpool FC title parade crash in May. At Liverpool Crown Court on Wednesday morning Doyle, 54, tearfully admitted to all counts on the indictment.

More than 100 pedestrians ranging from children to a 78-year-old woman were injured after being struck by his Ford Galaxy on Water Street shortly after 6pm on May 26 this year. 50 people required hospital treatment before they were later discharged.

The jury returned to court on Wednesday morning expecting to resume the trial and the prosecution was set to open its case from 10.30am, the Liverpool Echo reports.
