CRAVEN COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - A Craven County man is facing charges after deputies say he solicited a minor over a computer to commit sex acts.
Craven County deputies received a report in September involving the solicitation.
An investigation identified 53-year-old Michael Davis Jr. as the perpetrator of the crimes, and a warrant was obtained after consulting with the D.A.’s office.
Yesterday, Davis was arrested.
Deputies obtained warrants to search Davis’s home and place of work and seized electronic devices from both places.
Davis is charged with two felony counts of soliciting a child by computer, felony indecent liberties with a minor and two counts of disseminating obscenity.
He was taken to the Craven County Jail, where he is being held under a $200,000 secured bond.
