RAPID CITY, S.D. — Fire crews from multiple agencies contained a small wildfire Tuesday inside Custer State Park.
The fire was located about two and a half miles northeast of the Black Hills Playhouse and was first reported as a smoke sighting around 10:40 a.m.
By late afternoon, officials said the blaze was held to just under three acres.
According to WildWeb, the response included Forest Service engines, Hot Shot and Black Hat hand crews, state fire units, and a bulldozer.
No injuries or structure threats were reported.
