Dramatic dashcam video shows New Jersey police pulling an unconscious man from the burning wreckage of his car — thanks to his iPhone raising the alarm and saving his life.
Safwan Islam, 26, plowed his car into a tree after reportedly suffering a medical episode behind the wheel while driving along Route 27 near Franklin Township, NJ, WABC reported .
He was still unconscious when his cell phone pinged 911 thanks to the “Call After Severe Crash feature,” which automatically calls emergency services following a 20-second countdown.
Hero officers Yash Shroff and Thomas Sites were then seen arriving as the car was in flames, yet still breaking the driver’s side window to pull out the driver.
