Work has restarted at a former Suffolk nursing home after development had stalled due to the funding vehicle for the site going into administration.

The administrators, business recovery specialist Begbies Traynor, have appointed Norwich-based RMR Construction Group to complete the project at St Mary's Nursing Home in Undercliff Road East, Felixstowe.

The administration period at the site has also been extended to December 15, 2026.

In March, this newspaper reported how building work had stopped due to the financial difficulties of the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) set up for the site by developer JaeVee.

The former nursing home is set to be converted to become six apartments and three houses.
