PORT ANGELES– Taking a look at former area high school and Peninsula College alums:

At Arizona Christian University in Glendale, former Peninsula Pirate Ese Onakpoma is putting together an All-American-caliber career. Last season, Onakpoma earned Third Team NAIA All-American honors and was named the Golden State Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year. Averaging 13 points per game, he helped lead the Firestorm to their fifth straight conference championship. Now a senior, Onakpoma is off to a strong start, averaging 18 points per game. He is majoring in Business Management.
