A man has been rushed to hospital after being found seriously injured in an Aberdeen city centre street.

The incident happened at around 10.40am this morning in the Skene Street area of the city . Emergency services rushed to the scene shortly after the alarm was raised.

Police Scotland confirmed a man was found seriously injured in the area by crews. He has now been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment where the full extent of his injuries remains unknown.

Officers say that enquiries into the incident are ongoing. A cordon remains in place around the area with emergency services remaining at the scene.
