Active-duty Boston EMT dies after long illness

An active-duty Boston EMT died Monday after a long illness, Boston EMS announced Tuesday .

Regina Suprin, a lifelong Boston resident, worked as a Boston EMT for 13 years in Field Operations, Dispatch Operations, as a lead Field Training Officer, and most recently, in the Headquarters’ Electronic Patient Care Reporting Office, the Facebook post says.

“In every assignment, Regina brought unmatched dedication, enthusiasm, and a commitment to excellence that strengthened our department,” Boston EMS said. “A gifted mentor, she helped shape a generation of EMTs and left an impact that will carry forward for years to come.”

For her efforts, Suprin was recognized with the Chief of Department Award in 2024.
