A man died and two first responders are hurt after an ambulance and a car crashed in Herndon, Virginia, on Tuesday, authorities say.

The man who died was a passenger in the car, Fairfax County police said. His name was not immediately released.

News4 video shows the aftermath of the violent crash between an ambulance and a white sports car.

The ambulance’s crew was responding to an emergency when the crash occurred at Worldgate Drive and Alton Square at about 4 p.m., the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department said. The area is just north of Dulles Toll Road.
