Threats charge
On November 24 at 10:30 p.m., Belleville Police received a report of threats being made. It was reported that three youths approached a male in a local park, and one of the youths brandished a knife and made threatening comments. Through investigation, officers were able to identify the suspect and advised him of the grounds for his arrest. As a result, on November 25th, a 16-year-old Belleville male whose identity cannot be released under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was arrested and charged with uttering threats assault with a weapon, possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose.
