The Indiana man believed to be the killer in a decades’ old murder case is back in Pontiac where he was arraigned Tuesday and remanded to the Oakland County Jail with bond set at $2 million cash or surety.
Jack Anthony Young, 45, faces charges of felony murder and felony firearm for the April 30, 1998 fatal shooting of Charles Barnett. According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, Barnett was killed when he walked into his Pontiac home on Corwin Street and surprised a burglar — who investigators believe was Young. Barnett was 73 years old, Young was 18.
