WASHINGTON — Three little girls are recovering after being held at gunpoint while trying to spread the holiday cheer.

On Saturday, officers were called to the 1700 block of Point No Point Drive in Annapolis for reports of an assault that happened around 8:30 p.m.

When they arrived, they learned three 12-year-old girls were going door-to-door in the neighborhood singing Christmas carols. Paul Brian Susie, 58, pointed a firearm at the girls from a window inside his home.

Susie was taken into custody and charged with first and second-degree assault. Police recovered a .40 caliber Glock handgun.

Susie posted bond on Sunday for $10,000.
