Volunteers for the Kings River Fisheries Management Program’s annual fish survey are needed Dec. 2-4.

The program is seeking volunteers to assist biologists to conduct the program’s annual fish population survey from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day. About 25 to 30 volunteers are needed. • Tuesday, Dec. 2, Wildwood near Trout Lake • Wednesday, Dec. 3, Greenbelt on Piedra Road near Green Belt park

The program is set to host an additional survey event with Fresno City College on Thursday, Dec. 4. However, that date was postponed once and may be canceled due to weather conditions or lack of volunteers.

“We will be cancelling if we do not get enough volunteers,” Lori Werner, an environmental resource analyst for the Kings River Fisheries Management Program, wrote in an email.
