A former high school teacher in Warren pleaded guilty to a reduced drug-possession charge Tuesday and was immediately sentenced to six months' probation.
Christopher Michael Filiccia, who was a teacher at Lincoln High School in Van Dyke Public Schools, entered a plea in Macomb County Circuit Court to a charge of attempted possession of a controlled substance, an analogue, as part of a plea deal with Macomb prosecutors to dismiss the main charge of possession of a controlled substance, a felony punishable by up to four years in prison, according to circuit court records.
