LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Tuesday evening, a judge issued an order allowing the reactivation of charitable gaming machines in Kentucky.
This was in response to three Kentucky charities filing a lawsuit against the Kentucky Horse Racing & Gaming Commission (KHRGC) to bring back charitable gaming.
An order last week from the KHRGC immediately shut down all charitable gaming involving electronic pull tab machines.
In the order , KHRGC said it found "multiple instances of illegal 'fishing'" in the state, theft totaling tens of thousands of dollars. The document says licensed organizations have failed to prevent the crime, which has brought about the immediate order.
The judge's order restrains the KHRGC from enforcing the ban on pulltab charitable gaming devices. A full hearing is scheduled for
