MADISON COUNTY, Ill. (First Alert 4) - The Madison County Transit (MCT) announced Wednesday that they will offer emergency transportation to overnight warming stations in the Metro East.
The MCT board of trustees approved its drivers to pick up those who don’t have a car or unhoused individuals, and transport them to the nearest warming locations when temperatures reach 20 degrees or below. Rides will be offered from 5-8 p.m. free of charge.
Those who need a ride can call the MCT Dispatch office at 618-797-INFO (4636).
