DULUTH, Minn. — A signature annual holiday attraction in Duluth will be closed on Wednesday as teams assess the damage following Tuesday's winter storm.
In a news release, organizers with the Bentleyville USA Tour of Lights said the popular light display suffered "significant damage caused by last night's storm and continued wind gusts reaching 45 mph."
Images posted to the Bentleyville USA Facebook page showed a light post snapped in half and several large light displays toppled by the wind.
Organizers said Wednesday's closure is necessary "for the safety of our guests, volunteers and staff." Updates will be posted to the event's social media pages when a reopening plans are finalized.
