A piece of Minnesota music history is now on display at The Cedar Cultural Center.

Over the weekend, the Minneapolis venue unveiled that it is now the caretaker of Spider John Koerner's 12-string guitar.

The Epiphone was previously on display at Palmer's Bar, where Koerner was a fixture. However, after more than a century in business, Palmer's closed earlier this year.

The Cedar unveiled the display during a Friday show that paid tribute to a 1948 Lead Belly performance in Minneapolis. It was a fitting way to rechristen the display since Koerner, who died in 2024, regularly played Lead Belly songs.
