JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — After spending five years in prison for child neglect in connection to the death of her son and several years on drug-related offenses, Lonna Barton has been released from prison, according to a text message notification from the Florida Victim Information and Notification Everyday (VINE) service and VINE's website .
Barton, 35, is now on parole, records through Florida VINE show.
During the early morning hours of July 24, 2015, Lonzie Barton was reported missing from an apartment on the Southside of Jacksonville. At the time, the toddler was in the care of Barton's boyfriend, Ruben Ebron, Jr.
Ebron reported Lonzie missing, claiming his car was stolen from the parking lot with the toddler inside.
