Despite America's fascination with Godzilla, the US can never quite seem to do the character justice, as the phenomenal Japanese-produced Godzilla Minus One (2023) and Shin Godzilla (2016) quickly reminded us. But, of all the recent attempts at bringing the King of the Monsters over to US shores, there's one that long-time fans of the franchise seem to stand behind, even if it's far from a perfect film. Forget Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (although, you probably already have), forget Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and forget the God-awful 1998 version, because Gareth Edwards' Godzilla is arguably the best American Godzilla movie to date, and it's about to stomp onto a new streaming home.
