NEW ORLEANS — finally have names! The cubs were born last month and zookeepers say they are growing fast and showing their personalities.

The two girls are named Nandi and Zawadi. Nandi is described as a Zulu name meaning sweet, joyful and happy, while Zawadi is described as a Swahili name and means gift.

Audubon says the male cub's name is Tatu, which is another Swahili name that means "three." Keepers say it's the first time the zoo has successfully raised three African lion cubs at once.

The cubs were born on Sunday, Oct. 19.
