After graduating from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Siegel began working in journalism as a copy boy for The Plain Dealer in Cleveland before embarking on a career as a local reporter for the NBC stations in Cleveland and Washington, D.C. – the start of a 44 year long career at NBC.
